Zafer Turhan is an engineering leader with 20 years of international experience across defense, semiconductors, residential heating, and pharmaceutical temperature control industries. He holds a degree in nuclear engineering from Hacettepe University and a master’s in mechanical engineering from Middle East Technical University.
Starting his career in mechanical design, Zafer specialized in thermal and fluid dynamics simulations and system modeling across multiple high-tech industries and countries.
Since joining ASML in 2018 as a Senior Thermal Engineer, he has progressed into leadership roles and currently serves as Director of Engineering: Tooling Technology DUV & APPs within the Mechanical Development Cluster. As a second role, he also leads ASML Digital Engineering activities. His work focuses on multiphysics, reduced-order modeling, system simulations, and the industrial application of digital engineering.
